Below is a snapshot of my career for the last 15 years. As a professional Executive Assistant who is passionate about her career I have spent the last decade watching and learning from the most inspiring and formidable business leaders.

Whether it be the passionate entrepreneurs of growing SME’s, the driven executives of a FTSE100 Wealth Manager or the movers and shakers of central government there is a formidable amount to be learnt.

 Founder and Virtual Assistant – Our Other Office

Using and expanding upon much of my experience from my career I embarked upon my journey by choosing a name (so much harder than it seems!), designing a logo (ditto), setting up a branded Website, Twitter and other Social Media accounts, WordPress Blogging site, MailChimp account etc.  There is so much to do … and it all takes time and is a moving feast of never ending development.

I learnt a great deal during this initial set up period and in the running of my company ever since, including but in no way limited to Sales and Marketing, Social Media, Business Copywriting, Networking, Small Business Operations and Accounting, Business Development, Website Building, Blogging, Event Management and doing pro-bono work for charities such as the Stroud & Cotswolds Citizens Advice Bureau.

My favorite things about my ongoing journey with OOO? The huge variety of people I get to meet and the never ending learning opportunities it presents. Comfortably the most challenging, interesting, effort intensive, growth maximizing, exhausting and satisfying endeavors of my life – and long may it continue.


Executive PA to the CFO – Good Energy Ltd.

A fabulously interesting and changeable role working to effectively support the Board of a fast moving and driven company at the forefront of the battle to fight climate change. With growth of around 30% year on year the leadership required to lead the company through constant change and development was impressive to watch and a great place to learn.

 PA to Sales Director/ Office Manager – Lumley Jacobs

A varied and hands on role in a fast paced and changeable SME based in the insurance sector involving thinking on my feet, early problem identification and innovative solutions as the mainstays of my day to day role.

Lumley Jacobs are insurance customer engagement and non-risk income specialists with a proven track record for increasing insurance providers’ profitability. achieved through partnering with insurance providers to identify and implement tailor made customer engagement solutions.  Improving acquisition and retention alongside building incremental revenue LJ are passionate about changing the way insurers engage and build long term loyalty with their customers.


Executive PA – St. James’s Place Wealth Management Plc

A busy traditional Senior PA role providing dedicated support to the two Executive Directors of the 100 strong finance team in this prestigious FTSE 100 company. It was paramount to have an awareness and understanding of all areas of this wealth management business, be comfortable dealing with all levels of staff including our frequent Board interaction and act as an ambassador for both my two bosses and the company as a whole. Leading the wider finance administration support team in this rapidly growing finance team involved much that was creative including the complete revitalization of the stale finance newsletter into a thing of morale boosting beauty.


Private Secretary/ House Manager – Member of Parliament

A busy and interesting role based in the large listed constituency home of a long standing MP, this role involved working largely autonomously within a varied and changeable environment.

Given such diverse business and political interests much varied from the standard PA role and a desire to be on a constant learning curve and ready to enthusiastically deal with a constantly changing landscape of priorities was essential. My most important function was to be the linchpin and main point of contact across the diverse areas of this busy High Profile individuals’ life: Personal, business and Whitehall. A challenging role involving lots of bookkeeping, devising new office systems, managing onsite staff/ contractors, event/ facilities/ project management and building relationships across distances with stakeholders, MP’s and their staff, constituents, local businesses and charities.

Managing a beautiful large listed Cotswolds property and grounds, my desire to ‘muck-in’ would see me regularly leaving the confines of my office to pick up a paint brush, move the furniture around for a function or have a stint on the ride-on mower on a sunny day.
